know nothing about your motor but have built many "hi-po" engines, may also want to have the block magna-fluxed, this checks for mircoscopic hole, cracks, as well as the crank, this is cheap insurance. if you have a crak or hole that is not visable you just wasted $$$$$

Ok well i guess ill go ahead and replace it, but ive heard that the Y series have weak oil pumps, should i go ahead and put a z6 pump on and change the pan?

I plan on boosting this motor, and i really dont want to have problems with it.

thanks for the help
