Default d16z6 onto a 00 ek?

Hey guys hows it going? i got a 00 civic ex coupe with a blown d16y8.

Now im wondering if i could replace my motor with the d16z6 i have on my lawn.

i will be using the y8 tranny, and the y8 manifold.

You're gonna sell a blown engine? Good luck.

If you want to get rid of it for really cheap let me know, I'll take it off your hands real quick.

But as for the question, yes you can do that swap but you're going to have to do all the OBD changes and **** to make it legal. Your best bet would be get a 00 y8, or a swap.

lol, east LA you should have access to swaps and even y8 motors for cheap! check out your sources!

yah you can put a d16z6 swap into your 00 ex. It woudlnt be legal but you always do this. You can use just the d16z6 short block since your y8 block has a hole it in. Keep the stock y8 head, tranny, etc and I bet you'll be able to slide as a stock motor. Of course your gonna have to find a way to mount the crank angle sensor.
