00 civic si, Horrible high pitch howl coming from pass side engine bay.
at first i thought maybe the filter on cai was loose and it was causing a leak, then i thought maybe the bypass wasnt on square so i finally made the intake into a short ram and the noise is just getting louder. it only makes the noise when i come from a dead stop. its the worse noise in the world.... so friggn loud, any opinions would be grateful
alot of intakes make this noise, i believe it's from the butterfly valve on the TB. my civic doens't make it, but my g/f's accord does, and she has the stock f22a4 with short ram, header, and exhaust
got louder after header was installed...annoying as hell

hmm whats weird is ive had the header on for 2 months but now all the sudden this past week it started making this god awful noise... only thing i can think is its gettn cold here in chicago
i wouldn't worry bout it....
if its really unbearable...can you put it back to stock and see what happens?

yea, if you wanna take the easy way out
tho i guess a stock intake with a K&N filter, inbumper baffles removed, would probably yield better gains than a short ram
