Did you get the MIL after installing the cams?

my car throws a code 45 if I have too much valve overlap. What are your cam settings? I have also heard of people having the sme problem with S2 IM and ITR/CTR cams. Do you have a VAFC? It might be that all the extra air is creating a lean condition. You might need more fuel. Carboy has a wideband O2 sensor. Just buy a VAFC and have your car properly tuned. Thay do a good job. Don't forget to send me the dyno sheets!

Causes of MIL 45:

Fuel Supply System
Primary o2 sensor
MAP senor
contaminated fuel
Valve clearance
Exhaust leakage

Being that you dropped in cams I'm going to guess that the valve clearnace is too loose or too tight.

let's see if you can beat my nunbers!! My number are with a Comptech 4-2-1 header, 2.25" cat and Comptech exhaust. I now have ITR JDM 4-1, 2.5" cat and 2.5" exhaust with ITR muffler (sleeper).

what code was it this time?
I really think you need to go have your car tuned on the dyno. If you are waiting to break in the cams, then do not worry about it because there is nothing you can do, except reset the ECU.
I would have also suggested to check the valve clearances but you already did a valve adj. so they should be OK. Have checked you ignition timing? It might be off.
Also check that the cams are indeed at TDC and it did not jump a tooth on the cam gear.
