Hey guys, I drive a 93 EG5 1.6 SOHC VTEC and there are two main problem with my car.
1. I don't feel right everytime when the VTEC's on, I have done the basic checks, I think is something about the sensors, but not too sure, someone told my that I can find the faulting code, but I don't know where are they, so can u guys tell me where I can find them...

2. My tach. keeps jumping when its reach about 4000rpm, what do i need to do???

does your check engine light come on at all?

 

No, never

 

if any of the sensors were bad your engine check light would come (or at least its supposed to). it could happen thet the bulb is out too.
so how does the car feel when you hit VTEC? just sluggish? or do you feel like it's not even engaging? also, does it happen all time or just sometimes?
does it sputter or hesitate? it could be a lot of things....
it could be anything from an O2 sensor, bad fuel injectors, etc...
describe the problem a little better, and maybe i or some other peepz here could be able to help you.

 

oh and as for your speedo, it could be a loose speedo cable so check that first.
