I used Penzoil syncromesh in my EG with GSR swap. I had a 3rd gear grind and I didnt notice too much of a difference using this penzoil product. I've driven about 100+miles on this and it still grinds. How long do I have to wait for this to start working? Or do I have a SERIOUS problem with the trans? Please help
when I had my b16 ef, it had a 3rd gear grind. it took alot more then 100 miles for it to go away. I ended up selling it and the guy that bought it said it went away. my guess is that it took close to 1000 miles for it to work. be patient.

I think its either a hit or miss. I thought mine was pretty bad and it ended up fixing it. I'm sure down the road its gonne need a syncro but not for a long time. I'm not trying to keep his hopes up since it might not even help.

i know it doesn't work miracles...but i have heard that it works for people who had TERRIBLE grinds. I just had a slight grind. I guess I'll just have to wait it out and see what happens. I know I'm gonna eventually need a new tranny or rebuilt tranny. But I'm just hoping that this synchromesh helps this grind out just a little bit
