Default H22A into a EG starting issues.

I have a quick question, mainly to see if someone can give me a different point of view. I am working on a H22 into a 95' Civic EX. I came into the swap after another person already started it. They had the motor in, and the wire harness was completely hacked up, for the injector resistor box. I have since fixed the wiring for the resistor box, and fuel injectors. But I cannot get the car to start for the life of me.

I tested compression: 205 205 185 205 are the readings. I know the one cylinder is low, but it should still start.

Fuel pressure was sitting at 25 psi with the stock fpr. Added a adjustable regulator, and now it is sitting at 48 psi.

They put in a new fuel filter, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, along with belts, etc. I rechecked the timing, and it was off a tooth, and I have since fixed that.

But still, the car just cranks over, and doesnt even attempt to start. The spark looks a little weak, and is not bright, and loud like it normally should be. I swapped in a known good dizzy, and the spark was the same.

This is not my first H22 swap. But all the ones I have done were started, and finished by me.

Any help would be appreciated.

My .02$

I would def check the voltage on the dizzy and the ignitor (spelling). Also just swap ecu's and see if it starts for you, because it seems like you covered all the basics.

Yeah, tried different ECU's also. Same results.

Check:
If you are getting fuel
check for good ground (harness)

So is it fixed? Sounds like the exact prob i was runnin into. Check to see how strong the spark is. I replaced everything in my dizzy as u said and my car wouldnt start either. Come to find out I was sold a bad igniter.
