Anyone know what is the redline on the DX engine?

It is right around 6800, I know becuase Ive pegged it off of it a couple of times.

no tach, i just go to around 32mph and shift, then 59 in second around 90 in 3rd and then 112 in 4th.

Woo, I'm glad I finally know the real redline.

I kept thinking it was 7200, for some reaosn.

you ought to be shifting earlier than that anyways. its not like youre pushing mad HP ratings, so why beat on it? its kinda like picking on a kid thats playing in the special olympics... definately not cool.

yea a buddy of mine takes his to 32 MPH.. he used to have a monster tach.. but he hated it so he jus learned the tone of the motor at 32 MPH and such...

yea me too...i have a dx with no tach and i know that motor by heart, i can rev match and double clutch just by knowing my throttle and engine noise...you kinda jsut get teh feel for it driving it everyday

Anyone know the redline and rev limiter on a CX?

In the book it says 31 mph is how long first gear is but I've hit rev limiter at 35 and 36 so my gauge must be off or something. And this only happened once... other than that I'll typically get 38 mpg with it.

doesn't the B7 make peak HP at 5800??.......and it does redline at 6400 i believe.....7200 would some sort of nightmare i would think.

i saw 6100 hundred somewhere i had a dx but it never had a tach got a b16a now
