redline on a '92 civic DX?
does anyone happen to know the redline on the '92 civic dx 1.5?? cause i just got a tach and need to set my redline on it, thanks for the help.

wow that was quick,
and i was thinkin it would be between 6500-7000 cause that seems good for honda but i guess ill wait on some other replys just to make sure.

it's 6400 redline and 6800 fuel cutoff. your not going to get anymore horsepower after 64 and redlines area at a certain point for a reason so put it there.

hmmm cause at 6800 it seems that im still getting alittle more power.

I just went out to my car and checked, it's 6400. you will still have power beyond that point but it's not increaseing and is putting stress not ment to be put on the engine. It's an economy 1.5L not an s2000. Here's a graph that shows a 96-2000 DX, see how you begin lose power when you reach a certain point.

and yes you may see 7000 rpm come up but "supposedly" it's supposed to cut out at 6800. I've hit 7200 in the snow before and I don't know how, may be a miss read by the tach.
