Did a search and nothing is helping....Header gasket
so i have an aftermarket 4-2-1 header. the gasket between the top piece of the header and the bottom piece is basically shot......(NOT THE ONE between the header and cat) i have looked every.....summitracing, manufacture, everything and cant find ****.
its a 2 big hole 3 bolt gasket...................any sites or ne ideas how to replace? its causing a major exhaust leak.

try a high-temp gasket maker from permatex, or if you're not going to be seperating the header again, try some "muffler weld" or bandage, you may want to (if the mating surfaces are warped) just sand or plane them down first before trying anything else

my buddy had the same problem with his VW corrado. our local advanced auto had some "make ur own gasket kit. it kinda looked like dynamat but it worked and it was only $6 for a 24"x24" piece
Yeah u can make a gasket, go to your local autoparts store (like NAPA, not Pepboys) and ask 4 "HI-TEMP Gasket Maker"... actually I don't kno what they call it but it comes in sheets.
You line it up to the part and using a small hammer u tap the gasket sheet onto the flange of the header. By denting the shape of the desired form of gaket onto the sheet u can then rip the perfect sized gaket off and still have material for future gaskets.
Don't know if that makes any sense to u but I thought I'd try and explain. Wish I could show u a picture but I did it at a friend's garage way out in the booney's (redneck El Cajon, CA).
