ALL B, H, and D series throttle bodies are interchangable, you just need your original TPS sensor off of your TB

i don't know about all series throttle bodies...havn't heard must on this issue, you may be right. I have see an ls tb on the d16 though. BTW...tps are interchangable btw honda...you just may just recalibrate it. I use my d15 tps on my b20 and my d16 tps in my ls.

It doesn't matter that much if you the tb you are getting is obd1 or obd2. The obd2 tb have the map sensor on top of the throttle body. Just don't hock it up

Expect to pay about 50 buck for a complete tb. My b20 tb look to have the same bore as my ls from just looking at it. You be the judge of that

ok i dont mean to go into bitch mode or anything, but ive never talked to one person who has benefited from a aftermarket/different throttle body, than the stock one that comes with your car. according to the cfm (cubic feet per minute) ratings on pretty much any honda motor ( well use the b16a2 for example) it can flow up to 300hp worth of air. now, what this means is that your only looking at gains around 2 or 3 horsepower if even.

if it would have run better with a different throttle body, honda would have incoorperated it in that model. they are smarter than someone who wants neons under their car.

besides, on an a2 your looking at 100hp per litre. that is damn good for a 1.6 litre. and thats the problem ( well maybe problem) or tuning a honda engine, they are relatively putting out very efficient power numbers

but there is an excption, in supercharged motors, you can benefit from a larger bore throttle body because your sucking air through the throttle body, and on turbo, your pushing, so turbos dont benefit from a larger bore throttle body as much.

again, 2-3hp difference if even. why bother?

Also if you take the tps off remember to reset the voltage.

i think ill just reuse my tps! 3-4 hp i guess is worth it. i mean if you get maybee if your lucky 5 hp from an intake tube , isnt it worth 50$ for a different throttlebody?

ITR =62mm
CTR=60mm
GSR=60mm
B16A2= 60mm
B16A1=58mm

no.. no.. no....

your intake manifold is the thing that your throttle body is hooked up too. it sounds like you have gotten ahead of yourself if you dont know what port matching is, let alone, what an intake manifold is.

you dont need the new throttle body but port matching alwase helps:

you take the bore of your throttle body( which will be bigger than the stock one) and then match the new throttle body bore, to the old intake manifold, thus creating an nice smooth path for air to travel. if you dont port match, the air is just running into the bottle neck of the intake manifold ( the bottle neck will be the size of your stock throttle body)

again, i say, dont be retarted and put a new throttle body on, theres better places to put 50 bucks in your car. especially because its a mostly stock motor. id put the money in my gas tank
