I had to slam on my brakes the other day and now when I brake my engine revs up to around 4000 rpms and when i release in drops down. I am thinking its the brake booster but would like to see if anyone has had this problem before and knows how to fix it?

 

damn thats not right. i know your idle will raise when u brake but 4000?????? check all of your vaccum lines for cracks. check your one way valve in the brake booster line.
