HUGE power loss. Oil light on. Stuttering. WTF is going on
So 2 weeks ago I thought I fucked up my tranny as it was making some harsh noises and I had like no power
Well today I found a thread
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1017751
Where the guy had the same symptons as me, huge loss of power, falls on its face around 4grand form the little power it has, oil light flickers on and off when the car is fully warmed up.
I thought it was my tranny but apparently not, I cant tell if the trannies making any noise any more because my exhaust was ripped off from a manhole and Im just running a cherry bomb muffler that I had as a resonator.
I really need some advise as to what the **** is going on. Figured this would be the place to ask
Thanks guys, Ill throw any more info at you that is needed
Sohc zc non vtec
Thanks

oil and filter changed 100 miles ago wheh I flushed the engine
Oil light has been on since I thought I had the tranny problems though
Im running synthetic oil right now, might try some thick **** oil tomorrow and see if I can bump the pressure

Why don't you figure out this problem first ? You started a thread before on your oil pressure and now you start another thread.

Lack of lubrication
really?
Wouldnt the motor still rev and have power but just size because there was no lube? I dont see why it would cut my power by like 30%

I stated in his other thread, when oil pumps fail they usually just fail, there is no in between working and semi working. Low oil pressure is usually caused from the clearance in between the bearings being excessive.

Maybe, maybe not, take a look at this guys head

Car still cranked and probably would of turned over if the timing belt would of been tight, anyways my point is that is from lack of oil pressure. You could have just enough oil pressure that your engine is getting some lubrication but when it starts rotating faster and faster it can't keep lubrication so metal is grinding away. Find out why you have low oil pressure and stop driving the car or else your gonna blow it up.
