? on installing aftermarket pistons

Default ? on installing aftermarket pistons

okay i know when u install OEM pistons they have an arrow and you put them in so the arrow points toward the timing belt. but on like JE and ENDYN pistons they dont have an arrow, so does that mean u can put them in either way ???

There should be relief cut out on the intake side of the piston.

The intake has larger valves so the pistons have larger pockets on that side.

I don't know if the pistons will contact the valves if you put them in backwards but don't risk it.

I thought the bigger reliefe pockets were on the exhaust side!

No they are on the intake side so that the incoming air can get in easier.

It is not neccessary on the exhaust side because it has pressure to get the exhaust out.
