Default Tuning help needed for cams

Set up -

Skunk2 stg2 cams, springs, retainers, cam gears.
Spoon Headgasket.

I read on here that when adjusting cams, Honda motors tend to like 102 in centreline and 104 exhaust centreline?

I have opening and closing figures for these cams for intake -

open @ 37 btdc and close @ 49 abdc. This gives 96 centrline.
Therefore, in order to achieve 102 i need to open @ 31 and close @ 55 (31+55+180 = 266 then divide by 2 = 133 then subtract the 31 opening = 102)

to conclude does this mean that i need to retard the intake by 6 degrees, which means - 3 on cam gears because 1 mark = 2 degrees. And will this be safe valve clearance with the spoon gasket?

you need to dyno tune it before you can say where the centerlines should be. each engine is different. you are changing all the valve operations by moving the centerline so it adversley affects the engine even with only a couple degrees. the cams should have come with a card, i would highly reccomend setting the cams to the centerline on the card.

Cams were bought second hand and dyno's are quite far from where i live and very expensive over here.

i hate to be so blunt but it needs to be done. there is really no way to know if you are making the proper power ESPICALLY if you dont even know @ what degree the cams should be installed.
