Can anyone tell me if this is original equipment (Tires, Wires, Plugs)?
I have a 1998 Civic LX 4-Door and have a question about some of the stuff I am looking over on the car. I just got it and it has 51k on the clock. It has Firestone tires.... are these the originals? It has what looks to be black Honda plug wires with a date of 1998 on it. Are these originals? What are the original plugs? I am wondering if I am good to go or whether I should tune it up and replace everything. What is the suggested mileage for me to start looking into getting the timing belt replaced?
Thanks for the reply. That is amazing that all of this stuff is original. Still runs like a top and looks fairly new. What plugs are preferred in these cars and what was the original? Any idea on the rough mileage to change the timing belt? That isn't a job I am looking forward too!
Any automotive store can look up the replacement plugs. NGK Vpower is one of them. Timing belt I think is 90 to 100 k miles, good time to do water pump too

yeah a good tune up never hurts. and yeah since u have the timing belt off just replace that water pump as a precautionary.
