Default How do you read spark plugs?

What's it mean when your spark plugs look like this?

Also my compression test resulted in:
#1 - 185
#2 - 190
#3 - 190
#4 - 195

So after a valve adjustment I think my engine shall be just fine for a good turbo.

PS: Car is a 1991 LS with 150k miles on original motor.

Note: If pic doesn't work still, try this: http://70.16.122.163:870/Plug.JPG

the color doesn't look bad, but i'm pretty sure it's bad that those specs are there.

I think those plugs look almost perfect. The first 2 rings are dark, meaning you have the right plug for your heat application, and the tip is light colored meaning you are getting a good air:fuel ratio burn(probably).

As for turboing with your setup, go for it You have decent compression #'s, but I still probably wouldn't go much over 7lbs boost.
