how easy or hard, is it to get water in you engine???
some people tell me that it is easy to get water into your CAI and some say the opposite... one of my friends say that if i use the k&n filter lube i shouldn't worry to much cause he says that the oil repels water???
it may repel DROPS of water, but you only need to be really concerned about submersion of the filter...
If you have an AEM w/ the bypass valve, it can help in those situations

I don't think its all that easy to do, if you use your head. I mean if you full throttle through a puddle oil repellant won't do a damn thing. Just don't get on it in the rain.
Even if you didn't go through full throttle (let's say 500 to 1000 rpms). Would there still be enough suction to suck up water into the engine when the intake gets submerged?

Hmm... I guess there would be an easier way to see... I guess if you suck face with the end of intake you can tell. If your lungs implode, I guess there's enough suction to suck up water in a puddle.

i heard the bypass valve only worked when fully submerged. it was tested by college students (have no clue how smart they were
).
and didnt they recall the bypass valves or something? it was posted on the aem site.
anyways, bottom line is.. drive smart
