Default can someone help me out

I figured there must be some gear heads in this forum so I’m goanna post this question here. I did post on the civic, tech & Integra forum and it seam no one can help me with this problem

I traded my Acura legend for it. All and all the car pulls hard and it’s a nice car. It has a few visible performance mods headers, CAI, and cat back. But there is one problem, when the car idles it bounces from 1000rpm to 2000rpm back and forth. Does any one know what could be causing it to idle that way? The guy I got the car from bought it from this guy in NY and he has no idea if he did any motor work to it. Any info will be greatly appreciated

A leaky near the throttle body. Get a new throttle body gasket and see if that fixes it.

I was thinking a might need a new idle speed motor (IAC it think)
Do you think that could be a problem too.

My Prelude did it all the time after I fixed it up.

It never hurt anything though.

fast idle valve is bad, just take it off tap and plug the one hole and bypass the coolant you will be straight

remove your fast idle valve at the bottom of your throttle body

bypass all coolant lines away from the throttle body

remove throttle body and at the bottom there is a hole, tap the hole with a die and plug it with the appropriate size bolt, new gasket and re-install
