Air flow sensor when installing AEM cold air intake?
Ok i know this is gonna sound like a dumb question to alot of you but on the intake tube what the hell are you supposed to do with the sensor? It doesnt fit into the intake tube from AEM. My friend rigged up something stupid on his civic and i know its not working correctly...but we ended up doing the same on my friends GSR. So what is the proper way to hook up the sensor?
Uhm? i wasn't aware there was a sensor in the ITR, i that that was a civic si thing. it's been a long while since i installed mine though.
yea, i dont know if its a sensor or not, it just looks like one but could be a completly different thing. On the stock intake its located near the throttle body where it enters the intake tube. The "sensor" then seems to run into the valve cover just to the right of the intake manifold but not completely sure on that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
never posted a pic before hope it works, thanks to owner of the car form the post below haha. See the tube coming off of the intake going to what appears to be the valve cover, thats what im talking about.

yea there is, so just pull the old plastic breater tube off and stick the rubber tubing that came with the Intake on in place. Well it sounds easy enough. Thanks..if im missing anything feel free to tell me.
Yea, pretty simple. You'll need a 12mm socket to remove the strut bar, and also make sure the A/C lines aren't going to rub on the intake tube. I haven't had this problem, but many people have the A/C lines wear down the tube almost all the way through. Some say to gently bend them, but I've heard you can just zip-tie them together out of the way.
Good Luck.
Good Luck.
i dunno if other ppl realize it, but there are 2 places where the a/c lines can wear down the intake...and vice versa...
one is where the aem dips down to go into the fenderwell, and the a/c lines on the right of it have a tendency to rub....it didn't on mine HOWEVER

in that thread i took a picture of where the a/c lines under the aem where it sat had almost rubbed thru and would have, had i not taken it off...so watch out for that...u can put a piece of felt or whatever on it
