Default Over Heating

Hey all my car is over heating. I took out my thermostat and I hooked it up with out one...Also, I bought a new radiator. Im getting it today and I will install it. I also bought a new fan. I didnt hear any strange noises so I dont think its the water pump. My problem is my fan will not turn on... someone told me to route a wire between this one connection where the thermostat housing is. so it will always go on...still nothing. Can anyone help!

if your water pump was bad your car would throw out all the coolant, it would be a big mess.

sounds like your fan is not coming on because your TEMPRATURE SENSOR does not know that it should kick on the fan.
