Default h&r springs on my civic? which?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...31136

I just bought these off ebay and I told the seller I have a 93 civic ex 4dr with a b16a motor swap, and they concluded that they will ship out the H&R 51865 (96-00 Honda Civic) for me. They said it's the best fit. Is this true? I'm just worried it may not fit perfect. Thank you.

Well, they're different part numbers for the two cars:

So I'd be inclined to say no. I don't think the suspensions on the two cars can be interchanged, but I could be wrong.

I think your car may NOT LOWER even an inch with that springs...

Maybe I'm wrong but I saw a guy with a 96 civic / stock shocks / 94 stock springs and his car was low...

That made me believe that 92-95 springs are shorter than 96-00... and if you buy 96-00 lowering springs, they might just as high as the '94 stock springs...

But maybe I am wrong... let's hope so

I'll be funny if he sold you stock springs...and call them H&R....looks like stock springs to me... just my .02 cent.

Can't you email them? Why didn't they just give you the part for the car? Can they be returned?

I think H&R are purple not black

And those springs DO NOT LOOK LIKE LOWERING SPRINGS... they are too big... even if they are compressed they look too big...

Something's fishy here!!!

Or maybe it's just the picture deceiving...

those are sports, they're black, i know cause i have a set. the races are purple i think. they'll fit but i don't think there will be a difference in height. but if you're worried just email/call them and tell them you want the springs for a 92-95 four door.
btw, with the sports here's an idea of what kinda drop you'll get...(the coupe)

races are red, and the two generations do not mix. dont buy these springs for the 96-00 they are wrong and you are a loser

Well i've talked to the seller and this is what he said:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">handa (4:53:29 PM): hi there
KurumaMotoring (4:53:40 PM): yes how can i help you out
handa (4:54:24 PM): i ordered h&r springs from you today and i received your email
KurumaMotoring (4:54:59 PM): you are the one with the swap rite?
handa (4:55:07 PM): yeah
handa (4:55:30 PM): i'm concerned about if i'm getting the one that will fit on my car
KurumaMotoring (4:55:40 PM): the 51865 do have the best fit
handa (4:56:32 PM): are you sure it fits a 92-95 civic? 96-00 civics and 92-95 civic generations dont match
KurumaMotoring (4:56:53 PM): we have done alot of installation with that already
handa (4:50:25 PM): ohhh
KurumaMotoring (4:50:29 PM): the 51865 do have a better springs rate up front
KurumaMotoring (4:50:33 PM): its better for your swap
KurumaMotoring (4:50:48 PM): and actually eibach do use the same exact springs for all 92-00 civic
handa (4:50:56 PM): oh yeah....i'm using kyb agx for it, if that'll be a difference
KurumaMotoring (4:51:05 PM): no different
handa (4:51:39 PM): i see.
KurumaMotoring (4:51:49 PM): yeah, and it will be shipped out today
handa (4:52:01 PM): one more question
KurumaMotoring (4:52:05 PM): sure
handa (4:52:12 PM): sports vs race springs?
KurumaMotoring (4:52:22 PM): is it a daily driver?
handa (4:52:27 PM): yeah
KurumaMotoring (4:52:32 PM): sport will be good then
handa (4:53:07 PM): can you compare the comfort on them two?
KurumaMotoring (4:53:25 PM): i would say the race springs is like 25% stiffer
handa (4:53:49 PM): i see
handa (4:56:03 PM): well thanks for the help.
KurumaMotoring (4:56:10 PM): no prob</TD></TR></TABLE>

I'm going to trust the seller on this one. Does anyone have 96-2000 H&R springs on your 92-95 civic??

I think that the spring rates are almost exactly the same for EG and EK civics I bought Eibach Pro-Kit springs and they are for 92-00 civics I believe. However the spring rates might also vary company to company, so H&R might have made two different sets for EG and EK civics due to the difference in spring rates, but weight difference between EK and EG civics is neglegible so 96-00 springs shouldn't be better for a swapped car
