Default OBD2 in Pre OBD Car

Ok, I am just looking for some general principles here, not necesarily a step by step how to instruction.

I am building an LS/VTEC for my 85 CRX. I have a b18a1 block already, and I was looking for a OBD0 B16. BUT, I worked out a trade with a guy for a B16a2, which as I understand it is OBD2. I am getting an engine harness from a EK Si. What do I need to change in order to run this motor? The engine harness, cabin harness, anything on the motor itself?
Or can I stay OBD2 somehow and run a chipped P28? Or Hondata?
