What is the best tranny for the b18b1 engine? one that will be capable to 9500rpm?

I am also running the 89 honda crx jdm head and i was wondering what the best ecu would be to use. i will be running OBD 1.

 

Any tranny is capable to go to 9500rpm..
The question is ..can your motor handle it.?.
A stock b18a/b has poor stroke ratio and cannot rev to 9500rpm without major work done to it..

 

trust me. my engine has been balanced and blue printed. its an ls/vtec built up with 9 g's. it has been engine dyno tested at 10,000 rpm. so yes it is capable. but all i need to know is what tranny would be the best. not the most expensive but a good one. i wont be taking the engine over 9000rpm anyways cause i dont want to take it to the extreme

 

Any short ratio cable tranny with a good strong clutch and lsd would be good..
92-93 USDM gsr tranny,88-91 sir tranny,,or integra xsi tranny with optional LSD..
All are good trannys..

 

are any of thoughs Y1 , Y1 LSD, YS1, A1, S1 trannies?

What kinda power did it make at 10K, got a graph?

Just wondering what tranny you dyno'd it on. Or did you run it on a engine dyno?

 

it was run on an engine dyno. as for a chart i dont have one with me. my buddy has it on his comp in calgary. have yet to get ahold of him to send it. if i remember it was hitting 200hp at 10000, but it hit 225 at like 8600
