Whats the Best stock B-series Cable tranny with lsd?
I'm going to be dropping a b18c1 into a 91 crx si and I'm wondering what tranny I should get. I want a tranny with short gears-- similar to the type r tranny (which I was runnin in my gsr) and I want it to come stock with an lsd (b18c1 + JRSC in honda crx is gonna give me some traction issues). So anyway, is there a USDM OR JDM tranny that fits my description? Where can I get it? How much do you suspect it will cost me? Thanks alot.

Re: Whats the Best stock B-series Cable tranny with lsd? (92TEGsrSC)
IMO the best option would be the jdm b16a ys1. Some came w/ optional lsd. This tranny is the same as the usdm gsr tranny (except lsd was not an option in the US).
Reason I'd get this one over a y1, s1, or j1 would be the rebuildability (you can actually get parts for it, opposed to the others) and the fact that you can change gearing by using hydro tranny gears. So in the future if you wanted to run real itr gears.... you could, you just put itr internals into your ys1 case.
Cost is going to vary a lot, anywhere between $350-$700. Depending on condition, how lucky you are, where you get it......

the jdm ys1 or usdm 92/93 gsr ys1 trannies are best as they accept the 94+ parts, including LSD ... and jdm final 4.7 drive
I do these all the time.
