Valve/spark plug cover bolt broke....
Ok I'm bringing this back since I don't know which bolt to order
I keep snapping these things and never remember which to order. Can someone please tell me which I need to order from Honda on the diagram?
I need the one thats in the center by the spark plugs NOT the ones on the corners
I did a search but I'm still puzzled...
I was switching my B16 valve cover today and as I was finishing up I overtightened the right bottom nut when I was tightening the spark plug cover. It snapped the bolt to the point where it barely sticks out of the valve cover. I was able to put the little rubber spacer and a smaller 10mm nut on but the nut is only threaded about a full rotation and I'm not running the spark plug cover. I think I can get the bolt out with this "Easy Out" everyone's talking about. I plan on going to Honda tomorrow for a new bolt, but I don't know what to ask for. Is it a valve cover bolt or cam retainer bolt or something else? Is there even something I can replace or do I have to rig it?
Thanks in advance

I think what you need is actually a stud. Check this out

You'll need to take the valve cover off, and remove the broken bolt with a wrench. The replacement should look like a nut with threads on both sides. You'll probably want to order a few studs, and some chrome acorns to go with them.

. i believe its a 12mm and you dont need to drill anything. just remember not to overtighten it.

lots of ppl(including myself) have done this.
you just need to buy the part from honda.
and remember torque for that bolt is only 7lbs! so tighten it gently.
other bolts to be careful at, are the ones that hold down the fuel rail, alt power terminal..
i've broke those too
