you know when you take your spark plug cover off. I took the cover off and the bolts that secure the cover came off but the bolts under that were a little loose i tightened one too tight and it snapped it off. just one bolt broke off. how bad did i damage my car?

the top left bolt is the one with the issue

its still drive able.... Go to a dealer and buy one. (you will need to take off valve cover in order to change it (and a deep 10mm or 12mm not sure)

how long can i drive like that. i have to get it inspected this month could i go a week or two?

also i work a lot i dont really have time to do this.. how much do you tihnk a shop would charge me.. an hours worth of work? i dont see it taking much longer then that

my time is more valuable working at my job then repairing cars. im not in college anymore homeslice. eventually when i retire i will return to working on my own vehicle when i can afford a garage and a lift and air tools.
id rather do what im good at now and use the tools i have, rather then wrenching the ride and working on a hot engine over torqueing bolts.
do you wana get off my ***** now? i hope so flamer

dude.. they break all the time.. it takes seriously 5-10 mins at most.. pull valve cover off take bolt off. torque new one on.. not hard.

Take off your valve cover completely and youll see how easy it is to repair.

lol.. it dont.. look. when you take the valve cover off.. its also screwed into the head. just take a 10 mm socket, unscrew it. torque new one down, and thats it.

honestly.. it would be cheaper/easier/faster for you to goto honda and get one and do it urself then it would be to take ur car somewhere... drop it off with part.... hope they dont bitch an try to smooth u into buyin 10 other things... then get an ugly bill, when u could have just took 5 minutes outta ur life, popped off cover, unbolt old broken bolt, install new one, v/c back on, put nut on secure but not to tight, ur done...

on a lightened note, you could just dab some gasket maker or something around the top of the hole to make sure no oil comes outta there, thats what i did for a fix until a couple days later when i did the job the right way and in under 10 minutes and 10 bucks lol..

I have the same problem with a stripped bolt. I have a D15B7 (the valve cover to the right).....and I can't tell what bolt I need! Which number? Is it 15 or 16 (even though that's not my valve cover)?

14 on the right looks like the stud that the bolt goes into....
