where to unload old tranny fluid?
Yeah, I called up autozone and asked them did they accept old transmission fluid and they said yes. Thats where I took mine some time ago.
pour it down the storm drain..you know the ones that have signs that say flows to the bay...wait if your not in cali there won't be signs. If that doesnt work call places like jiffy lube or maybe kragens and ask them.

pearlblueb16, You can goto Pepboys, Advanced Auto Parts or Autozone. Any reputable auto parts retailer will accept oil for recycling, and transmssion fluid is based on motor oil. Tell them that it's transmission fluid though, they may have a special place for it in their holding tanks or whatever they put it in.

You can also take them to a local oil change shop. I used to work at Jiffy Lube a long time ago and people would leave the containers by the door over night and I would dump them first thing in the morning. You can always ask before you leave it there. It would be really irresponsible if they turn you away.
Doesnt take to much effort to dump it for someone, and Im not sure...but I think by law we were accountable to take it from them.
