Gear slips out of fifth when throttle is not pressed

Default Gear slips out of fifth when throttle is not pressed

When my throttle is not pushed down when crusing in 5th it just slips out....any suggestions?

Check your tranny fluid, it could be low.

ok how much do syncros run?? do you get separate ones for each gear or a set of gears at a time?

Low tranny fluid can cause all sorts of problems.

would low tranny fluid really cause this type of problem? </TD></TR></TABLE>Absolutely. This exact problem happened to me, and it turned out to be an incorrectly seated axle, leaking tranny fluid all over.

Definitely check the fluid level before you go replacing synchros.

I had the same exact problem but it did it in 3rd gear and when I brought the car in they replaced the syncros so........more than likely that's what it is...If your not doing it yourself be prepared for some serious $$$$$$$$ to have those installed by Honda/Acura...
