That's sweet, I bet you get some crazy looks in that thing. Even more when you fly right past them.

most people don't even notice this car.

a few months ago i was coming back from lebanon valley dragway in new york, when i was pulled over for crossing over the center line. (i wasn't paying attention, officer thought i was drunk...etc.) well he soon realized i wasn't drinking and wanted to know what i was doing up there w/ florida plates...and i explained to him that i was visiting my parents and had just come back from the dragway. he seriously didn't believe me and i had to show him the gauges, practically open the hood before he realized what it was...and even then i think he had a hard time believing me. was kinda funny..but thats how it is in a dodge colt.

any specs on that car?

just wondering if the owner is ever on 4g61t.com.

as functional as it would be to cut the front bumper like that...i just can't bring myself to do it. i really want to wait until i have a good oppurtunity to get a JDM front bumper.

here is a pic:

Nice sleeper. Now you just need to find the Hyundai that beat on that poor Dodge Ram SRT-10.

i'd love to find an older hyundai excel...maybe a 90 or a 91 in good condition.

they weigh around 2000lbs and with the right mounts a 4g63 bolts right in. with a stock turbo and slicks it'd be an easy low 12sec car.

I am on this board actually. 89 factory turbo mirage. 150,000 on the bottom end, still stock unopened. Head has got 1mm oversized valves, web cams, and crower springs and retainers. Ported and clipped b16g and evo manifold. Spearco front mount. gm maf and maft. when the motor was in my 90 talon went 12.0 @ 115 on 18psi. I'm under 1qckdsm on every board except this one, including 4g61t. heres a shot of us in pomona.

Nice mirage/colts u guys got there. I personally own an 89 colt gt turbo also but mostly stock. ran toe to toe with my friends 90 b16 civic hatch though. Hoping for a 2.0 swap next year (crosses finger). Picked up a 91 gsx and will be rebuilding that motor to go in my hatch, money permitting.

i love the way the older excel's look...its just finding one in decent enough shape to work on. the bushings are shot, overall the cars aren't tight...etc...but i'm in florida where old people do have older cars in great shape so i'm going to be on the lookout for one.

90-94 hyundai excels were built on the same platform as colt/mirages.

here's a little right up on them...

source: http://auto.consumerguide.com/...90105

South Korea's subcompact shattered sales records for a first-year import when it arrived on the American market in 1986. A 2-door hatchback soon joined the original 4-door sedan and 4-door hatchback. Built on the same platform as the Mitsubishi Mirage and Dodge/Plymouth Colt, the Excel also shared their 1.5-liter engine, transmissions, and some suspension parts. For 1990, Excel and the similar

1SICJDM with some motor mounts from a Colt Gt or Mirage turbo and you'd be almost set !!!
