Need quick help. 15" tire size and wheels//
ok i have a friend selling these black group n' wheels. they are 15'' wheels with brand new dunlop 9000 215-50-15's
now my question is. WILL THEY RUB? im running agxs with prokit, anbd currently 205-45-16 slips... on a 91 crx si
one was also fixed by a wheel shop, so if i bought them, i think i would respray them complete flat black...

I threw on my 205/50/15 azenis just for the fun of it to see if it would fit on my crx. It looks like it would rub when i hit bumps and stuff.
I'm sure the 215 would rub unless that's a typo. Also how low are you lowered?

what offset are the wheels? and how low are you?
no matter what you'll have to rold the fender lips in to keep from rubbing
i did on 15x7 +42 wheels and 205/50/15 potenza RE750's
edit:
By the looks of those pics it looks like the tires already have rub marks from a previous car

it'll definitly rub then (probably only in turns), if you still wanted to fit em, id try to find an actual fender roller if ya can to roll the fenders out a little
think about it. 205/50 is the correct size. so the sidewall is 102.5 mm tall. on a 215/50 itll be 107.5 mm tall. do you have 10mm clearence in your wheel well for height? and 10 mm for width? if you dont they will rub. if you do they wont. either way its the wrong size for a crx get some 205/50 when they wear out.

Falkens are under rated. Usually a 205 usually ends up being a 215 (give or take a few mm) If the problem is with rubbing, why don't you flare the fenders? +40 offset is what people usually run with 205/50/15's.

im ******* stuck. seems like everyone says they gonna rub.
this is a steal of a deal. because the tires are about $400+ and the wheels are about 400$, and i can have all the wheels bead/sand blasted for free and painted free.
i would just need new tires....
ahh im so ******* stumpted! keep em or don't buy?

Is that your hand in the photo? Why don't you just put them on your car for a test fit? That repair doesn't look all that great though. It doesn't look round right there.
I'd bet they rub a little. The actual correct size is 195/50/15. I'm running 205/50/15 on 42mm offset and no rubbing. But that's stock suspension, and a Hatch.

I wouldn't be worried about your fenders so much (you can always roll them out). I'd be worried about inside the wheel well... the wall in front of the strut usually rubs with wider tires. Mine rubs there and not at the fender. (195/55/r15)
I've have those rims on my Rex and running 195/50/15 with no problem-and my car is slammed low on the coilovers. The tires tuck well,You might have a problem with the 215's.By the way if you do get them I hope you at least get the lip painted to your car coulor instead of red again-unless your getting ready for the holidays
sorry missed that line about you painting them all flat black.
