size of tire sidewall????
i have a set of ff6 montegi wheels and iam buying tires and i looked at a crx that 15'swith a 50 sidewall and it looked good. My question is if i lower my car 1.25in i should be okay with the 50 side wall or is that pushing it????? any help is greatly appricated.... thanks again

my bad guys i forgot to tell you that i had 16's i dont know how much an inch will make a difference but ya never know

For the most part, you'll be fine on a 15" rim with a 50-series tire. But what makes a big difference on whether it's going to rub, regardless of how low you go, is the offset of the wheels. The more the offset, the more the wheels will tuck. Less offset, wheels will stick out further and may rub when making tight turns or if you hit a bump on the road while turning, if you have a soft suspension setup.
EDIT - since you have 16" rims, then the same applies as what I just said, but you'll have a larger diameter wheel than your original setup if you use a 50-series 16" tire.
