Default Alternator

Can a d16a6 alternator work on a B18b1....i know the answer is most likely no cause that would make no sense if it did, but then again the world does not make sense. so if anyone knows.

i have a b16a2 with a b18c head. I have a d-series alternator runnin. Just need to fix the timing and water pump and code 15 and i'm good to go. You might have a problem with the bottom bolt for the alternator and which the pulley on the alt..

Damn! I just formated my comp and lost all my Favs pages. There was a guy on this forum about 3 months ago fab a flange and he even had a paint diagram on how he built it; which let him use a d-series alternator. Ill keep searching and pm u a link if I come across it. - Darrell

it CAN BE DONE...

the top hole aligns, all u need is some washes for the bottem section (is a bit narrower then B's) and your good to go

ok what if the bottom part lines up perfectly and the top would line up great if i just banged the top flange like 1/4" up so that the bolt will go through and grab the alternator? if i can get it on there and it lines up really good with the crank pully there is no reason i could not do this right?
