well today i got up and drove my car to school and notice that its much louder like theres a hole in the exhuast or somthing but i check and its fine..

i have a 1995 gsr and before when i hit 5725 the secondary butterflys would open and u would be able to hear them seeing how my exhuast is quiet as hell.. now you cant hear the secondarybutterflys and the car is much much louder i dont know whats wrong with it could anyone help? i dont have any mods really just a intake and a exhuast and both are bolted up and fine.. any ideas? it runs fine and seems as if vtec kicks yet no secondary butterflys or anything.. and yes i have let my car warm up .. does this have anything to do with an oil change? i have to get one asap.

 

anyone know what i'm talking about? i'mma have my uncle take a look tonight he used to be hardcore into hondas so he knows what hes doing

 

he didnt get a chance to look at it.. anyone know what could be a problem? i drove my friend around and he said it was normal and just my intake or exhuast making sound but i know its not i drive the car everyday and know the way it sounds

 

check your air filter (make sure it's tight and clean) ? check your exhaust for cracks? oil level up to par?

 

i check my oil and its horrible i need a freaking oil change for sure.. could this be why?

 

LOL you just sounded like my brother...
took a long trip and when he came back he was excited that
his car was louder when vtec was kicking in....

opened up the hood there it was a broken air bypass valve....
so the intake had a straight pipe no filter

 

i'm not excited i'm ****.. i know it shouldnt sound like this!!

 

make sure the secondaries arent stuck open

 

the aculator that ran the secondarys was dangling in the engine, screws came off wth.. i just got it fixed by my uncle

he was saying you were excited as in making a big deal about.. getting worried, etc... not excited in a happy way...
