Default Gauge cluster problems

the RPM and Speedometer gauges go move up and down when i signal or use hazards. Also the Temp gauge goes straight to hot when the car is turned on. Any suggestions on how to fix it? it is not the original cluster

Sounds a LOT like a grounding problem. Check the wires y0.

Edit, it sounds like the ground for the dash isn't making a solid connection, because power from the hazard indicators, etc. are causing voltage spikes in the rest of the dash.

did it work correctly at one time ? or is this a replacement install that hasn't worked properly. I tried to replace my 97 cluster with a 2001 cluster and it did something similar. I ended up changing all the gauges from the 2001 cluster to the 97 housing to make it work correctly.

If it worked correctly at one time then take it out and tighten all the philips heads on the rear of the cluster ..... that fixed mine another time.

or you can do it the easy way and switch the green wire film on the rear from your original cluster.
