If not, which versions were different?

 

all 5th gens have amber dash and interior lighting unless someone put an aftermarket bulb/LED or gauge cluster in.

 

Yea thats kinda why I was asking. I saw a couple pics of a 5th gen with blue illumination and said WTF? It looked good though. Are their any writeups?

im actually a really huge fan of the OEM Amber. I love that color, and i wish i could find a decent head unit that lit up the same amber.


Then again, i also love my amber side markers. I dunno, i guess im just an OEM kind of guy when it comes to stuff like that.

 

it's because amber is pimp.

blue lighting makes me feel like i'm at a rave, and that it's 1999 all over again.

clarion makes a nice head unit with over 700 color combinations. i'm sure amber is one of the choices.

amber/red is possibly the best interior lighting. no wonder BMW's use them.

i like the amber too, but would just like to try like red or something. is it hard to do?

If I remember correctly, and these decks are hard to find and extremely expensive, Nakamichi, I think that's the way it's spelled. They look alot like stock units, but perform very very well.

THe Alpine 7894 Head Unit has two color options, green and amber, and you can get one off of ebay for about $200. The best CD Player i've yet to come across, originally $500.

 

how do you change the color!!! I've got that same head unit and can't figure it out!!
