Default Spoon shift ****-need a small key?

I just bought a spoon shift **** and I noticed there is a small hole in the back. Is there supposed to be a small hex key or something that I need for it, because I didnt get any. Thanks.

after the shifter is screwed onto the rod
you're supposed to screw in the hex bolt also
i think it supposed to give it more support and keep it more stable

thats what i did with mine

It's there to keep the shift **** from unscrewing from heavy shifting. My stil comes loose though. The black ***** will crack if you tighten them too much.
