Ok, so I just got this H22 swapped Civic and I want to change the oil. Nowhere does it say the engine oil capacity or what weight to use. Can anybody shed some light?

 

5.1 quarts. 5-30 winter................... 10-30 or 10-40 summer

i run 10w40 full synthetic, and it is 5.1 qrts and 2.1 for the tranny, which i also suggest you change.

 

if it's a motor from a 92-96 it takes 10-30 any after that is 5-30 and the JDM h22
takes 6 qts usdm takes 5.2

 

i have a JDM motor and it takes 5.1....

 

Ones with an oil cooler take six

 

yeah, h22's are monsters like that... they take 5.1 quarts.

whatever kind of oil you choose to use is up to you cuz everyone's got a different opinion and i dont think it'd be beneficial for us all to argue about it.

any more info on this? ive never heard of that before... what years where they in, etc.?
