i been using 5 1/2 quarts of oil cuz thats what i saw was recommended due to deeper oil pan for vtec, but my dipstick mostly shows that the oil is low always and i know im not burning any. i have no smoke, no oil residue in exaust and it runs well. the f22 dipstick is supposed to shorter than the h22. how long is yours w/out measuring the handle-from the tip to where it meets the rubber stop?

yeah h22 and h23s like to drink their dark brew. the life blood gets consumed dude, just load up on synthetic, and lucaz oil stabilizer. stuff works good to keep oil from breaking down and burning but still provides great lubrication when mixed with 80% synthetic (20% lucas oil stabilizer) try it out. good for mild leaks too.
