How should I go about with this one!
My greddy kit is falling apart. The turbine on my 18g is shot. With out it my car is basically stock. I ve been researching and I think it might be best to take out my greddy kit and go na for a little while... or I guess I could find another turbine... Anyways can you guys give me some positive advice on what I should do... thanks Keith.
How about repairing the turbo? Try Majestic turbo. My friends have sent them turbos to be repaired as well as have water lines put in. Turnaround was fast and the work was cheap.
Or you can just purchase a new turbo. You only have 3 choices. Repair it, buy a new one, or remove the kit altogether.

Just get it rebuilt.

the actual turbo is perfect still no shaft play spolls great. the turbine falls apart. it doesnt hold the down to the exhaust the holes are stripped and Ive took in for repair three times... I got ripped because all they did was use a helit coil and that does not hold...bolts are broken in half and still stuck inside the turbine.. I think the turbine cant be fixed... I would need to replace that half of my turbo. Im thinking I need to take out the kit...
It would be a waste to throw out the turbo because of the bolts! Can you take pictures of what they did? A really qualified shop should be able to put filler material in and retap.
You can also call greddy and ask for the price of a new housing.
finally, you could sell just the turbo and get another one... (I'm in need of just the cartridge/compressor cover
)
