I used the search option and cannot locate any info.
I’m trying to figure out an issue with an LS auto shifter (91 Integra LS).
The shifter will work just fine during the summer, but during the winter specially when the temperatures are low the shifter will get stuck when you change from (D) to reverse or (P). Is a big issue when you want to park the car, since if the shifter position in the dash does not light up on (P) position, it will not release the key!! Or if you need to maneuver it will not let you shift from (D) to (R ).

Anyone else had a similar issue and/or fix?? Or any ideas of what the issue could be?

when was the last time you change the transmission fluid

 

Im having the same exact problem. during the summe rit wuz fine but now when it gets cold it wont always go into park or reverse. i changed my tranny fluid about 3000 miles ago

that same used to **** me off also until I got the remedy to it!!!

 

what was the remedy to it?

 

I changed the fluid like 2K ago. I think that has something more to do with the electric part of the shifter, since it takes a while for the light to display in the panel.

Please any other comments, I'm tired of getting own3d by my car during cold days!
