I have an 88 accord 4cyl, bought it about a month ago, Fri when the cold snap came it won't start I have replaced plugs wires, cap rotor, I am playing with the timing but it just turns over then when it seems it's going to start it backfires through the carb? Yes I am getting fuel and also fire into the cylinders, those 2 elements should atleast make it start, I am at a lose right now and need help

 

Try starting fluid and maybe advance the dizzy.

 

already tried the starting fluid will try playing with the distributor in the morning had to buy a battery charger to charge the battery cause I wore it down

 

dont waste your time with the distributor its probably just your main relay

 

just found out it's a tec distributor and the part that is broke is a vacum advance now just to find a parts house that has it in stock.

 

Okay replaced the vacum advance and still no start, I have fuel, fire, pulled the plug and no water mix so good head gasket, ? any ideas?
