Cat options with D16z6 motor?
Just bought a 92 CX w/ a D16z6 swap in it. Car currently has a test pipe but I need a cat to pass inspection. What options do I have... 92-95 Si cat or aftermarket? Should I just go aftermarket or should I stay OEM?
VX is another hatch model, the one with the rear diffuser.
I guess I'll be on the lookout for an Si/EX cat. I wasn't sure if they were different lenghts or in different locations per each model.

Im not sure what I have.. i got it with my Greddy Evo exhaust... it might be just a OBX or somthing generic but its stainless and it has a carb number etc.... just take a look on EBay and look for ones with carb numbers etc...
P.S. if your just worried about Police and having a cat.... A highflow is totally legal no matter what it is (here in NY) I know from experiance You cannot issue a ticket for a cat unless the piping is a continuation off the header that does not change at all...trust me on this one, its part of my job
but for just emissions alot of highflow cats guarentee a passing grade on the test.

I'm worried about passing jersey inspection to get it registered.
I basically want a guarantee so that when I go to inspection the first time, I pass. The motor in the car is a D16z6 with 105k miles, so I'm hoping I don't have to go multiple times to the inspection station.

Jersey inspections are crap. YOur in and out in like 20 minutes. Pa is a bit tougher but with a Jackson Racing Highflow cat, you will pass. THe cat is about 200.00 but well worth it.
