Default Painted my block. Debating looks

When I got my new motor, I was in a rush to get it in the car and looking good So I decided to clean it quick and then paint it cast aluminum high temp paint. This is the thread to the pics. Mine motor is the first 3 pics. http://www.ubrf.org/forums/sho...elude. My question is, should I keep it painted or should I sandblast it back down to the original block. I think I should sandblast it but I dont want to have to take the motor apart to do it. I want to sandblast it the way it is right now. Is this possible? Give me your insight

i would just remove the paint, because you always have a chance of the paint chipping and looking nasty.

No registration.

Post up the pics through We-Todd-Did-Racing.com.

If it's a lighter color, i wouldn't care how it looked. It will help you find oil leaks if you ever have problems.

If I could go back and paint my block, I would. It would be *****-pink

I painted my block a few years ago and it looked like horseshit after a few months. Unless you paint it with 'real' automotive paint... it will look shitty sooner or later.

You can buy brake parts cleaner remove the paint with that. Or aircraft paint remover works quite nicely I may add.

A guy on the MR2 boards had his powdercoated. I'm sure it was expensive, but it came out immaculate.

Just a thought.
