Default anyone ever paint your block ?

if so, I know to use VHT 1500, but I am curious to what flat silver or flat aluminum would look like....

anyone got pics ?

I wouldnt expect anything different, you'd 'paint' anything warm and willing.

but i painted my downpipe w/ that 1500 degrees manifold spray paint from pepboys, that **** sucked, it flaked off in no time.

i painted mine silver. it looks good against the flat black (also painted) engine bay.

Here's mine, this the bottom end you help me put together. I painted it Cast Iron 500deg from autozone, hasn't flaked at all. I wouldnt try it on manifolds/downpipes though heh.



What the hell, I painted the Intake manifold too

That's after about 1000 miles. Holds up very well. The black stuff you see on it is from my dirty gloves.

Yeah.... Javie at JG had mine painted, so he could hide the bad water pump and make the block look great. Too bad it only looked great.

Btw.... he also painted the old oil pan with its leaky reused oil gasket.

My dad painted his Camaro's block back in the 60s, this is nothing new. They mostly painted them because they are iron blocks which'll rust.
