I wouldnt expect anything different, you'd 'paint' anything warm and willing.
but i painted my downpipe w/ that 1500 degrees manifold spray paint from pepboys, that **** sucked, it flaked off in no time.

Here's mine, this the bottom end you help me put together. I painted it Cast Iron 500deg from autozone, hasn't flaked at all. I wouldnt try it on manifolds/downpipes though heh.
What the hell, I painted the Intake manifold too

That's after about 1000 miles. Holds up very well. The black stuff you see on it is from my dirty gloves.

Re: anyone ever paint your block ? (Flamenco-T)
Yeah.... Javie at JG had mine painted, so he could hide the bad water pump and make the block look great. Too bad it only looked great.
Btw.... he also painted the old oil pan with its leaky reused oil gasket.
Thanks for taking my time and money JG, I know know why you don't take credit cards!

My dad painted his Camaro's block back in the 60s, this is nothing new. They mostly painted them because they are iron blocks which'll rust.
