88-91 dx have 90hp stock at the flywheel..and in reality the whp is much lower..especially since the motor is old..
DX only has to injectors and a throttle body the size of a golf ball..
So do mpfi swap..and get an 88-91 civic/crx si ecu or 87-89 teg..
88-91 civic/crx si cam or aftermarket cam ..(Its up to you)
Header
Larger diameter exhaust
Now that you have alittle more pep you need some better acceleration ..
I recomend 88-91 si tranny or zc tranny..

an intake chip? and what manifold that everyone likes to turbo civics with? an HF manifold? what the hell is an Intake chip? theres chips in your intake?
wouldnt it just be easier to convert to mpfi, and then swap the motor? to atleast a zc?

If I was you, find a ZC. You could pick up one for under $600. DX MOTOR will not come close to the power of a STOCK ZC, without lots of money and work!

DOHC ZC's are sometimes even cheaper than $600, especially here in SoCal....I get mine for like ~$400 out the door.
Here in Florida we tend to pay a little bit more as the motors hit the West Coast AND THEN have to be shipped all the way to the nations **** - I.E. Florida.
