differences between gsr and itr lca's?
Hey im getting these coilovers and they are for a gsr.....i was thinkin about getiin gsr lca's and was wonderin if everything would be fine and fit good?
nah, they are different.
the GSR LCAs. are a solid peice, the ITR is, how can i say this, hollow.
the fronts are the same.
the rears are the ones that are different

I've never seen both side by side.. But, they are most definatley different. I believe the holes for the shock mount and the sway's are positioned differently.
There is a reason the ITR runs different LCA's and it most likely has to do w/suspension geometry.. I wouldn't get rid of them if I were you. I would buy the proper suspension kit for the ITR instead.

Here are some pics to verify what baonest is saying
ITR LCA

...I can't find a pic of a GSR LCA. basically instead of being U shaped it's one solid piece w/holes for the bushings..

on my LS. i have ITR rear LCA's. the GSR/LS are the same.
i bought R susp. for it. the rears needed to be changed out.
but they arent that expensive. a while ago, you could get a set of rears for like $90-100.

looks like we are posting the same info @the same time..
nothing like HT teamwork
on another note.. what exactly is different about the ITR LCA beside the obvious ..ie shape.
I read in another thread that the GSR sway will work w/ITR LCA's.. so it sounds like just the bottom mount for the damper is different..

the ITR LCA is stronger than the others. (someone add more info)
well, my LS sway bar links bolted right up to my ITR rear LCAs. no prob.
well, only prob was the ABS wire. i had to zip tie them to the LCA.

thanks for the replies, yea i knew they were gonna be different, where the bushing is located, but was wondering what makes the itr better and if i put the gsr lca's on would it be that big of a difference in handling and stuff

i doubt it will make a noticble difference in handling.
im sure it wouldnt hurt to put the GSRs on the R. but if you can, stick to the original LCAs and get another set of coilovers.
(i just now realized you were putting GSR susp. on an ITR, i thought it was the other way around., haha im slow
