Default help!!

i have a 99 civic ex. im installing a autometer monstertach with shift light. it says im suppose to connect the green wire to the Coil or the electronic ignition-(tach terminal). i know i dont have a coil, but where is the electronic ignition in my vehicle located?

i believe its the blue wire coming from the distributor the you want to tap into...but dont you already have a tach ?

hmmm. ok so i connected the tach to the blue wire coming (DIRECTLY) out of the distributor. the tachometer, was fluttering all over the place, and when my motor was idling, the tach registerd like 5000 rpm. hahah. I havnt tested out the blue wire coming (DIRECTLY) out of the driver side yet because my dads making me go to bed. But tomorrow i will test it out and let you guys know the results......thanks for helping me out. (goin to bed so ill check posts tomorrow after school)
PS: you guys sure its the blue wire coming out of the driver side? cuz i havnt looked for that wire yet. (is their a blue wire coming out of driver side firewall?)

if its fluttering then you have a bad ground

alright! i connected the green wire to the blue wire coming out of dash. All i gotta say is its working, and thanks for your help. appreciate it!
