you take it apart and put it back together, i got a 99 si, my friend knocked my rear view mirror completely off and it took 5 minutes to put it back, its self explanatory when you take it apart and put it back together.

do you take apart behind the mirror or where it mounts to the car????someone said you could adjust it up top

I think that the top adjustment (at the roof) doesn't actually tighten the mirror. It just tighten the arm to the mirror.

theres a little plastic cover piece you can take off of the back part of the mirror arm. I cant remember what kind of screw its called, but its like a star. you tighten that and the mirror gets stiffer if thats what your asking.

my actual mirror it self is loose, but i found a good way to fix it.... i just took a rubber band and kept raping it and twisting it up rite where the ball joint is and it eventually made it firm and not loose anymore
