my friend just told me that his friend had the same problem and he sealed it up with some special glue....but other's have told me that that problem can't be fixed unless i go to the dealership, which i don't want to do because they'd just charge me an arm and a leg! thanks though!

i have the exact smae problem....2000 civic dx.....can't find the leak for the life of me....even had my gf sit in the trunk while i sprayed every little nook and cranny with a power washer to find the leak...no water came in....it seems like it only happens when i'm driving and the road is wet and the tires are spitting up water

Tail light gaskets bad? I know there is another thread about this, the guy had water comin in through a vent that you can't see unless you take the rear bumper off.

i have an ex coupe....

i found out about this problem last night, when i lift up my trunk lid, water drips down from the inside/back of the tail lights. i stuck my finger in the pocket of the back of my tail lights are located and it was damp. i think the only way i can find out is if i take off the tail light, but i'm afraid to worsen the leak more.

That's what I'd assume is wrong. There were a bunch of leaky tail light threads a few years back. Usually the gasket just needs to be replaced.

i had this problem in a couple of my past cars. silicone does work. i figured i might as well give it a try since i could just peel the silicone off when its dry. and it works. just put along the spot where it creases the tail light gaskets. and there ya go. thats it. put yer tail lights back on and yer good

if its comming through your tail lights, try taking out hte lights, then line the seals with silicone caulk. You can pick it up from home depot for like 10 bucks.
